📝 How to Apply Online — Step by Step

Visit your State Food Department website (search: "[State name] ration card apply online")
Click on "New Ration Card Application" or "ऑनलाइन आवेदन"
Register with your mobile number and create an account
Fill in family details — head of family, members, income
Upload required documents in JPG/PDF format (max 2MB each)
Select your nearest Fair Price Shop (FPS)
Submit the form and note your Application Number
Visit the local Tehsil / Block Office for verification (if required)

✅ Eligibility Criteria (पात्रता)

✓ Must be an Indian citizen (Aadhaar card holder)
✓ Permanent resident of the state where applying
✓ Should not already have a ration card in the same or another state
✓ BPL/AAY: Annual income below poverty line threshold
✓ Newly married couples can apply for a new card
✓ Migrants can transfer their card to a new state under ONORC
