📋 Overview
PM Awas Yojana (PMAY) is India's flagship housing scheme launched to fulfil the dream of 'Housing for All'. It has two components: PMAY-Gramin for rural areas and PMAY-Urban for city residents. 👤 Eligibility Criteria
Families who do not own a pucca house anywhere in India are eligible. For rural areas, beneficiaries are selected from SECC (Socio Economic Caste Census) data. For urban areas, EWS (annual income up to ₹3 lakh), LIG (₹3–6 lakh) and MIG (₹6–18 lakh) categories are covered. A woman member of the household must be a co-owner of the house. Existing government housing beneficiaries are not eligible.

- For PMAY-Urban: Visit pmaymis.gov.in and register as a citizen

- For PMAY-Gramin: Contact your Gram Panchayat or Block Development Office
- Your name must appear in the SECC list for rural scheme
- After verification, you will be notified and funds released in stages
