👤 Eligibility Criteria

Any Indian family residing in the state can apply for a ration card. Families are categorised based on income and socio-economic status. APL cards are for families above poverty line. BPL cards are for families below poverty line. AAY (Antyodaya) cards are for the poorest of the poor families. Income limits vary by state. Migrant workers can use their existing ration card in any state under ONORC scheme. No duplicate cards are issued for the same family.
